A New Look And Improved Fuel Economy For The 2016 Altima

The redesigned Nissan Altima is on its way, and we here at Petro Nissan couldn't be more excited. Following the exciting reveal of the 2016 Maxima, we have been wondering what the automaker would do with its smaller sedan. Check out the video below to see the new Altima in action:

For the 2016 model year, the new Altima gets a revised front end that includes a new fascia, hood, fenders, and headlights. On the rear, the sedan gets a new set of taillights, a new trunk lid, and an updated bumper.

The 2016 Altima's looks also translate into a sleeker body, as its drag drops from 0.29 Cd to 0.26 Cd. This drop is thanks to new active grille shutters, underfloor covers, front and rear fascias, and a redesigned windshield.

Powering the 2016 Altima is a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 182 horses and an optional 3.5-liter V-6 that cranks out 270 horsepower. While these engines do carry over from 2015, all 2.5-equipped models, except the SR trim, gain 1 mpg highway, putting them at 39 mpg.

We're looking for the 2016 Altima to hit our showroom at 6248 Highway 98 West, Hattiesburg, MS 39402 in November. Until then, you can check out our available inventory to see if anything piques your interest.
